Completion Grants & Goals

The Utah System of Higher Education (USHE) awards completion grants to USHE public colleges and universities to help sustain and scale programs working to improve college completion. These grants support programs focused on one or more of the five completion strategies approved by the Board of Regents in 2013. Completion grants were awarded in June 2014, and amounts range from about $18,000-$40,000.

Institutions set 3-5 year completion goals and report to the Board of Regents on their progress annually. At the November 2015 Regents meeting, the USHE Completion Report showcased what each institution did to accomplish their completion goals in mission-driven ways.

Further efforts are being taken to ensure Utah college completion rates increase. USHE is a member of Complete College America, which works with all alliance states to significantly increase college completion rates. USHE institutions also meet regularly to discuss completion efforts and to brainstorm new efforts to help increase college completion in Utah.
