Three Finalists Named in DSU Presidential Search
7/11/2014 – The Dixie State University Presidential Search Committee has narrowed down the prospective Dixie State University president to three finalists: Dr. Don Capener, Dr. Reid L. Neilson and Dr. Richard Williams.
STEP UP Ready Grants
7/3/2014- Step Up Ready grants are made possible by the Utah State Legislature and its vision of making college more attainable to all Utahns. The Utah System of Higher Education (USHE) invites grant applications from partnerships between school districts/local education authorities (LEAs) and Utah not-for-profit higher education institutions.
USHE Completion Grants
7/3/2014- The Board of Regents has awarded a Completion Grant to each of the eight public colleges and universities in the state, to help sustain and scale programs working to improve graduation rates.
7/3/2014- The Multi-State Collaborative to Advance Learning Outcomes Assessment (MSC) is an experimental approach to student learning outcomes assessment involving nine states throughout the country.
Daniel W. Campbell Named Board of Regents Chair
5/16/2014- The Utah State Board of Regents has unanimously elected a new Chair: Daniel W. Campbell, a Regent since 2010, has assumed the post of Chair from Bonnie Jean Beesley, who held the position since 2012. France Davis was also selected as Vice Chair at the meeting at Weber State University.
State Board of Regents Meeting is Scheduled for May 16
5/9/2014 – Meeting at Weber State University, the Board of Regents will discuss the ROI of 66by2020, vote on the next Chair and Vice Chair, and approve the 10-year enrollment forecast for USHE. Governor Gary Herbert will attend the Committee of the Whole.

4/30/14 – USHE releases RFP for new, one-time funding for USHE institutions to be used to support and scale projects that have been developed and tested as a pilot at the institutions, specifically projects working to achieve the Board of Regents’ Completion Initiatives.

Utah’s Colleges & Universities Launch “15 to Finish” Campaign
10/22/13 - Timed to roll out with spring semester registration at Utah’s eight public colleges and universities, the Utah System of Higher Education is launching its “15 to Finish” college completion campaign today. The campaign touts the benefits of enrolling in 15 credits a semester, which is the minimum number needed to complete an associate degree in two years or a bachelor’s degree in four years.
